Starting Nov. 8, 2018, you will be able to celebrate this magical season with festive parties, captivating holiday décor, delicious treats, spectacular entertainment, and enchanting experiences that make this season one of the most wonderful times to visit Disney World theme parks, resorts and more! Magic Kingdom

  Mickey celebrates the season, Magic Kingdom park lights up with excitement for Guests of all ages. Cinderella Castle shimmers. Joyful music fills the air. Disney Characters don their most festive attire. Favorite attractions take on a holiday theme. And enchanting surprises lie around almost every turn! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party – (This is a ticketed event) Encounter familiar Disney friends as you come face-to-face with beloved Characters decked out for the holiday celebration! During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you’re invited to share hugs, receive autographs and capture photos with over a dozen beloved Disney Characters dressed in their holiday best as they spread holiday cheer around Magic Kingdom park. Dance Party – Bust a move during a mega-fun dance party at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café. Get ready—this is your chance to dance the night away with holiday friends all night long in Tomorrowland!    

Disney’s Hollywood Studios®

  A Flurry of Fun – comes back with the return of Sunset Seasons Greetings. Featuring impressive new laser effects and “snow,” holiday magic transforms the famous Hollywood Tower Hotel with spectacular projections of beloved Disney Characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Olaf sharing their favorite seasonal stories. Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM – Another returning favorite nighttime spectacular with a snow-stopping spectacular with twinkling fireworks, merry music and state-of-the art projections. Toy Story Land also gets special seasonal fun including holiday songs on Alien Swirling Saucers and more! Enhanced Holiday Décor Around Echo Lake – Echo Lake gets a merry makeover with extra-large ornaments, colorful garlands and a giant Christmas tree centered on the water. Even Dinosaur Gertie will be festively dressed for the occasion!    

Epcot® 

  Discover joyous holiday traditions of 11 World Showcase nations during Epcot International Festival of the Holidays beginning Nov. 18, 2018. Surround yourself in the wondrous sights, sounds and flavors of the season as celebrated by cultures near and far. Candlelight Processional – A favorite holiday tradition at Epcot and this year it starts performances on Nov. 22, 2018. Experience the story of Christmas with a celebrity narrator, a 50-piece orchestra and a full choir—presented 3 times per night from November 22 through December 30, 2018.    

Disney’s Animal Kingdom®

  Totally new this year, the magic of nature will receive a holiday touch with the inclusion of Diwali, the holiday Festival of Lights in India, as part of the new live show UP! Santa Goofy meets with guests and poses for photos intermittently from 11:00 a.m. through park closing. Animal Kingdom has a large range of decorations. Don’t miss these very different holiday decorations as you explore the park. Check out the three-foot-long gingerbread holiday display at the Tusker House restaurant called the Gingerbread African Marketplace. The display contains 8 lbs of honey, 23 lbs of flour, 6 lbs of eggs, 1 lb spices, 5 lbs of white chocolate, 9 lbs of icing, 25 lbs of dark chocolate, 5 quarts of egg whites, and 10 lbs of confectioners’ sugar.    

Disney Springs®

  You will find the perfect destination for holiday shopping, dining, and entertainment, with the chance to experience holiday magic along the way. Soak up an assortment of seasonal sights and sounds as you wander through the decked-out waterside promenade. Christmas Tree TrailCapture one-of-a-kind photo opportunities during a walk-through wonderland featuring music, falling snow and a collection of themed holiday trees.  

Resorts

All across Walt Disney World the resorts will feature festive seasonal decor as well as life-sized edible creations! 70-foot-tall Christmas tree in Disney’s Contemporary Resort entrance lobby featuring nearly 35,800 white LED lights. Each tree’s decorations are themed to its particular resort. Also, don’t miss the largest wreath at the WDW Resort, which is 25 feet in diameter with 18′ elliptical ears. It is located on the exterior window 4th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort facing Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. NEW YEARS EVE!

Ring in the NEW YEAR at Disney World at Disney’s Countdown to Midnight: A New Year’s Eve Celebration! This is a ticketed event for guests 18 and up, Countdown to Midnight is a more formal affair taking place in the Fantasia Ballroom. T The fun begins at 8 p.m. with a delightful culinary experience, boasting the best bites and wine pairings from Disney’s finest restaurants such as California Grill, Narcoossee’s and more. An interactive DJ will have you moving and grooving to music spanning from the 1960’s to today. When you’re not busting a move on the dance floor or indulging in delicious goodies, you can pose in front of a fun assortment of backdrops. Mickey and Minnie are promised to make an appearance as well! The night closes with an amazing view of Magic Kingdom’s “Fantasy in the Sky” Fireworks Spectacular.   New Year’s Eve is a must to plan for this year, if you are looking for a unique experience outside of the theme parks, Disney’s Contemporary Resort is the place to be.
